Caitlin studied Motor Behavior in a master’s program at Louisiana State University. In her time at LSU she was responsible for running data collections for research in the biomechanics laboratory. She acquired a wide range of knowledge in the physics of human movement as well as neurological and psychological aspects of motor control and motor learning. It was during her time in Baton Rouge that she discovered a profound love of rock climbing. She has found that climbing was a culmination of her studies in exercise science and mechanical function of the human body.

She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in May 2023. While training at USC she was fortunate enough to study pelvic health in multiple clinical rotations. She began to draw parallels between my exercise hobbies and their effects on pelvic health and is excited to explore how we can use different modes of exercise to improve our pelvic health.

She swam competitively from kindergarten through college. She is now an avid backpacker, rock climber, and is building a growing knowledge of Muay Thai kickboxing.

My name is Dr. Emily Reul, PT, DPT and I am a licensed physical therapist. I grew up in Southern California and moved to Carrollton, GA where I received by B.S. in Biology at the University of West Georgia. I then moved to Tampa, FL where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked as a physical therapist in outpatient orthopedics, in the hospital, and in skilled nursing facilities.

I played volleyball for 11 years, including 4 years at the University of West Georgia. To stay active, I now enjoy running half marathons and going to spin class. I understand first-hand the stress of both orthopedic injuries as well as incontinence. Playing volleyball for 11 year introduced me to various musculoskeletal injuries that required rehabilitation. As a child, I suffered from nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting) until the 6th grade, along with urinary frequency during the day. It was embarrassing to be wetting the bed as a middle schooler and I was frequently getting detention in school for asking to go to the bathroom multiple times throughout the day. I went through all kinds of tests and imaging, and I tried every nose spray and medication that was available.
